Hepatobiliary services in Norvic started from the year 2004 when Dr. Sudhamshu K. C. joined Norvic hospital. Trained in Japan under world renowned Prof. Kunio Okuda, he is the first one to start interventional Hepatology in Nepal. Since July 2004 there has been an uninterrupted care of the patients coming with liver disease. Hepatobiliary medicine includes diseases of liver, gallbladder, biliary tree and pancreas.
The Liver department offers both preventive and curative services. Consultation for jaundice and different types of hepatitis is provided.
