From a 30-bed nursery, it has grown into a 200-bed multi-speciality institution, offering top-notch healthcare to patients from Nepal and beyond. Norvic has become the hospital of choice in Kathmandu and surrounding areas, serving both dignitaries and the general public. We prioritize upgrading specialties and technology, ensuring our team stays at the forefront of medical advancements. Our commitment to excellence extends to recruiting, retaining, and developing a diverse team of professionals. We’re expanding our capacity and adding new care centers, including oncology and a mother-and-child section. With the addition of India’s La Femme (Centre for Women), we aim to address the unique healthcare needs of women. I envision Norvic as the region’s premier medical hub in the near future.”

Mr. Basant K. Chaudhary

“One rarely comes across persons who have their feet planted firmly both in business and literature. Mr. Basant K. Chaudhary, chairman of diversified business group BLC Holdings Pvt Ltd, is one such rarity. Mr. Basant K. Chaudhary was born on April 3, 1957, in Kathmandu in a family which was set to make its mark on Nepal’s business canvas. Young Mr. Basant K. Chaudhary observed his father Shree Lunkaran Das Chaudhary growing the business steadily. Long-term vision, tactical action, hard work and social commitment were the traits which he imbibed from his father. These values continue to propel his life to the day. His direct foray into business began as a salesman in the family-owned Arun Emporium, Nepal’s first and most-renowned mall at just the young age of 17. But even as he was learning the ropes of day-to-day business, Mr. Basant K. Chaudhary found himself attracted to music, art and literature. Dozens of well received books and musical albums speak for his creative passion. Add to that philanthropy and you have almost a complete picture of our Founder Chairman.”

Currently, he assumes the role of Academic Faculty at multiple universities.
