Histopathology

The Histopathology Department is manned by a highly experienced and qualified team of doctors along with trained technical staff. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-art equipments. Some of the common procedures performed in this department are:

Bone marrow biopsy and aspiration – This is done to diagnose and monitor blood and marrow diseases, for some cancers and unknown fever
Kidney Biopsy – Used to diagnose and assess kidney problems
Liver Biopsy – Used to diagnose and assess liver problems
Needle Biopsy – This is to rule out a disease or condition and also, to assess the progress of a treatment
Sentinel Node Biopsy - This is a surgical procedure used to evaluate breast cancer and melanoma
