The buzzing sound of mosquitoes flying around your ear itself is an aggravating feeling, let alone their bites. The hot sun of summer days means basking in outdoor activities such as hiking, sunbathing, and barbeques but along with them comes one tiny nuisance: mosquitoes, which thrive in warm weather dampening our summer fun. There are ways we can deal with these pesky pests, so we can enjoy the sunshine. If you don’t want to use synthetic repellents, there are numerous other options we can go for to buzz off these mosquitoes. Find out about them below-

Lemongrass oil-
A natural ingredient used in Southeast Asia to flavor things such as chicken has been proven to repel mosquitoes as well. In fact, their effects are equivalent to that of commercial synthetic repellents.

Clove (Laung)-
This aromatic flower buds which is used for antiseptic, antioxidant and anti-fungal purposes, are also a natural mosquito repellent. The oil extracted from the clove is believed to repel mosquitoes quickly.

Peppermint Oil-
Researches have shown that, peppermint oil acts as a natural mosquito repellent. These peppermint plants, both wild and cultivated, contain properties repulsive to insects. The natural oil taken from the plant can be mixed with other scents, like lemon and be rubbed onto our skin for a minty scent.

Use a Fan-
Mosquitoes aren’t strong flyer that’s why they are more active during dusk and dawn when there is little wind. So if you are planning to chill outside on a hot summer day, it will be better to bring along an electric fan to blow away these pesky pests.

Remove Standing Water-
Mosquitoes can breed quickly in any pools or puddles. It’s better to check these areas around the houses and dump out any standing water to avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes.
